About Josh
I was drawn to the mental health field because of my own personal struggle with OCD earlier in my life. I understand the weight of a mental health battle. I can vividly remember the constant feeling of wanting to feel peace and a quieter mind. To feel like myself again. As my friend described it, I was "sick and tired of being sick and tired."
Having been anti-medication for years, I reached a point in my life where I knew I needed to give it a real shot. And it changed my life forever. The overwhelming feelings started to feel bearable. The anxiety was quieted. My hope was returning. For years, I pushed against a treatment path that ended up restoring my life. Medication allowed me to stop living life in my head, and to be present for the people and moments I value the most. I find great joy in helping my clients find this same mental clarity, and start enjoying life the way it is intended to be enjoyed.
I'm laid back. I'd say my superpower is connecting with people, making them feel comfortable. I enjoy genuine human connection through simple, meaningful conversation. In addition to medication, I will work with you in exploring your lifestyle and habits, and together, identify appropriate changes you would like to make that will unlock your ultimate potential.
